I'm cycling 45 miles across London to raise money for The Prince's Trust to help transform young lives

On Sunday 6th October, I will be taking part in Palace to Palace and cycling 45 from Buckingham Palace to Windsor Castle and raising funds for the Prince’s Trust.

Every pound raised will bring hope and opportunity to young people who have lost confidence in their future. It will help to support these young people on a path to employment, enabling them to lead more stable, fulfilling lives.

The Prince’s Trust has always been close to my heart due to the fact I was someone who really struggled in a School environment and lost all confidence in my future. I was very fortunate that an older realitive saw my strengths and helped get me back on track resulted in me starting an Apprenticeship with Capgemini in 2012 and in no exaduration, was the catalyst for my life being transformed.

Many people in my situation wouldn't have had a guardian angel and risk going down a path of self-destruction rather than realising their potential and getting support with getting onto a route into work, fufulment and opportunities.

This is why raising money for The Prince’s Trust is a necessity for me, it's an investment in the futures for young people who really need the step up.

Just a £20 donation could provide a young person with an experienced youth worker for an hour, building their confidence, resilience and motivation during a time of vulnerability and uncertainty for the young person.

In the last 40 years, the Prince's Trust has helped over 1 million young people, please feel free to read interviews from some of those helped:

The Prince's Trust has tailored programmes and provides long-term support give young people the practical skills and emotional resilience to pick themselves back up and create their own positive futures.

The recent Class of Covid report reveals almost half of young people in the UK (49%) feel anxious about their future on a daily basis, with 59% agreeing it feels frightening for their generation. Findings suggest the impact of the pandemic and now a cost-of-living crisis is taking its toll on young people, as 45% agree anxiety around recent political and economic events affects them daily. More than a third (35%) feel their life is spiralling out of control, and for those from lower income backgrounds, this increases to 41%.

Please help me to support The Prince's Trust by sponsoring my Palace to Palace cycle ride and sharing my page.

All the best Luke, it will be a great experience. Don't forget to eat and drink plenty on route. I can't do the ride this year, but have completed both the 90 mile and 45 mile routes in the past. I've even done a 90 mile (there to Windsor and back to Buckingham Palace on the reverse of the route) for logistics. Have a great day.
